Why Crypto Volatility Is on the Rise Ahead of 2022

Public Aggregation ChannelDecember 16, 2021
Darius Sit, co-founder and managing partner of QCP Capital, speaks to host and producer of the Crypto Unstacked Podcast Leslie Lamb about his outlook for the DeFi sector. Being Singapore-based, Sit is at the heart of the Asian financial markets and digital asset community. After a recent meeting with Paul Tudor Jones, Sit came away with enlightening insights on inflation within digital assets. While global fiat inflation is viewed as bullish for crypto, Sit learned from his meeting with Jones that inflation is rampant in the digital asset space itself. The advent of Dogecoin and the Shiba Inu token demonstrates the inflationary nature of crypto as many new tokens come online with multiple tokens idolizing the same breed of dog. In addition, Sit gives us his outlook for 2022 and explains why we may see some volatility in the months ahead. Recorded on December 7, 2021.

Francis Hunt returns to analyze Bitcoin's price action relative to forex markets, bonds, and U.S. equities. We could see a brief rally, but we're still in a "risk-off environment," says Hunt. "Do not become overly aggressive to the bullish side. People are going to call this bottom one cycle too soon." But it's not all doom and gloom from The Market Sniper. Hunt believes Federal Reserve policy is driving U.S. dollar strength, so he's trading the greenback. He walks Real Vision's Ash Bennington through his forex trades, noting that forex markets have been "the new crypto markets." Recorded on May 17, 2022.
